Dr. Dina Hosseini Wins Membership in the African Society of Diagnostic Radiology

Prof. Dr. Dina Hosseini Salama – Professor of Diagnostic Radiology at the National Center for Radiation Research and Technology at the Atomic Energy Commission, won the membership of the African Society of Diagnostic Radiology, representing Egypt, with the approval of all member states, which confirms the leading role of Egypt in the medical sector, especially in the field of diagnosis and treatment of tumors.

The association is scheduled to honor Dr. Dina Hosseini Salameh in the first meeting of the Board of Directors, which will be held in 2023, for her activity in the field of advancing the African sector in the field of diagnostic radiology and radiation protection during the last ten years.

Dr. Amr Al-Hajj, Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission, stressed that Dr. Dina Hosseini Salama’s victory in the membership of the African Society of Diagnostic Radiology representing Egypt confirms the pivotal and pioneering role of the Atomic Energy Commission at the African level in the areas of peaceful uses of atomic energy and her entitlement to membership in this association.

For her part, Dr. Sahar Ismail, Head of the National Center for Radiation Research and Technology, expressed her happiness at Dr. Dina Hosseini’s winning of membership in the African Society of Diagnostic Radiology, representing Egypt.

Hosseini is an honorable example for the Center’s scientists, whom he is proud of, especially in her field of specialization and her current job at the International Atomic Energy Agency as Chair of the Supreme Committee of the AFRA Program and Advisor to the Director.

She is currently the Chairman of the Higher Committee of the AFRA Program and Advisor to the Director General of the Agency for Technical Cooperation at the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna.

The African Society of Diagnostic Radiology was established in 2007, and it has great strategic and scientific activity at the African level. Its activities include the exchange of experiences and knowledge between African specialists in the field of radiology and the exchange of their experiences in the fields of medical imaging practice in their countries.
