Cairo International Book Fair Launches an E-app

This year, the Cairo international book fair “CIBF” is launching a new e-application, which will hopefully assist fair-goers to enjoy a variety of services offered at the book fair.

The e-app is available for free download and usage on both iOS and Android systems, which gives all users access to all services available at the Book Fair. By downloading the app, users will have constant updates about ongoing events and all news related to the Fair.

The e-platform features a virtual-reality clip showing Abu Kharbush’s story by Professor Kamel al-Kilani, who won personality of the year for children.

Moreover, it includes the Saleim Hassan Encyclopedia of Description of Egypt, which is still available for sale via the app, and the family library publications in PDF format as well.

At the Children’s Fair section, the organizers will honor renowned children’s writer Kamel Kilani for his outstanding work in literature in Egypt and across the Arab world by extension.

It is worth mentioning that Jordan will be joining this year’s event. Also, the 54th edition of the Book Fair will carry out an honoring event for the late writer Salah Jahin for his life work in literature.

If you prefer online reservations, the official Facebook page of the CIBF recently posted a link through which customers can book their tickets electronically and avoid the hassle of waiting in long lines to purchase them on their visit to the event.

The Cairo international book fair officially opens for the public at the Egypt International Exhibition Center “EIEC” in New Cairo, starting January 26 until February 2nd. The CIBF will operate every day from 10 am to 8 pm and will extend to 9 pm on Thursdays and Fridays.
