Ambassador Soha Gendi Calls Families of Missing Egyptians in Libya to Contact Emigration Ministry

Yesterday, the Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs, Soha Gendi, asserted that her ministry will guide families of missing Egyptians in Libya who contact it and assist in looking for their missing relatives.

In a statement, the ministry extended its sincere condolences to the Egyptian families who lost their relatives in Libya following the Mediterranean storm Daniel, which caused devastating floods in Libya, broke dams, and swept away entire neighborhoods in multiple coastal towns located east of the North African nation.

The ministry further disclosed relatives of the missing in Libya should send their personal information to coordinate with the bodies concerned to aid in searching and checking on survivors and obtaining details about missing victims’ identities.

The statement also offered condolences to the Libyan people over the victims in the aftermath of floods that hit the country over the past.

The ministry confirmed that it is constantly following up on developments in the crisis and provided contact numbers for people to reach out: 00201222826111 and 00201111384838.
