Alexandria University Participates in UNESCO’s Regional Meeting on Combating Violence Against Women

The Anti-Violence Unit of Alexandria University participated as an official representative in the UNESCO regional meeting on “Confronting Violence against Women and Girls in Arab Universities” under the auspices of Dr. Abdelaziz Qanswa, President of Alexandria University.

During the event, Dr. Manal Fouda, Executive Director of the Unit, indicated that the meeting aims to review efforts to address violence against women and girls in Arab universities.

She added that it also seeks to highlight the importance of providing high-quality services, ensuring the quality of mental health and psychosocial support, and defining regional priorities in the field of eliminating violence against women and girls in Arab universities within the framework of the action plan attached to the Arab strategy, in consultation between the concerned authorities of the Member States and representatives in the field of prevention of violence against women and girls.
