Yas Marina Circuit was transformed into a sanctuary for women’s health this week as it hosted over 200 women for the inaugural “Made for Her” event. This wellness initiative, launched by the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) in partnership with NMC Healthcare, was designed to inspire women to embrace a holistic lifestyle that balances peak physical activity with deep mental well-being.
Held as part of the circuit’s popular “TrainYAS” program, the event offered a carefully curated space for women to focus on their health in a safe and supportive environment. The evening featured a diverse lineup of sessions, beginning with high-energy Pilates led by “Wanna Pilates,” followed by a soulful Vinyasa Yoga flow hosted by “Thrive with Lindsay.” The experience concluded with a restorative sound healing and breathwork session led by Dr. Shaza Al Ghazali, providing participants with a moment of total serenity.
Recognizing that wellness is both physical and medical, the initiative also provided participants with free health screenings and personalized consultations from the expert medical team at NMC Royal Hospital Abu Dhabi. This clinical touch ensured that the event offered a 360-degree approach to women’s health, moving beyond fitness into proactive prevention.
Frank DeLisi, Senior Vice President of Operations in Abu Dhabi for NMC Healthcare, expressed pride in the partnership, noting that the initiative reflects a shared commitment to making women’s health both a priority and accessible to all. He highlighted that the collaboration aligns perfectly with Abu Dhabi’s healthcare transformation agenda, which focuses on prevention, education, and community engagement. By combining expert medical advice with world-class fitness experiences, “Made for Her” aims to empower women with the tools and knowledge they need to master their health at every stage of life.
