Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Ahmed Rostom, conducted an inspection visit to Ahl Masr Burn Hospital, underscoring the government’s commitment to expanding free, specialized healthcare services for burn victims and supporting the hospital’s ongoing second-phase development.
The visit comes as part of broader state efforts to strengthen partnerships with leading medical institutions and advance high-impact healthcare initiatives serving vulnerable communities.
Backing a National Medical Initiative
During the tour, Rostom emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring the sustainability of the hospital’s services, particularly its mission to provide free, comprehensive care for burn patients.
“The state is keen to provide all forms of support to this major medical institution to ensure it continues delivering its services at the highest quality and efficiency,” Rostom said, praising the hospital’s operational readiness and advanced medical capabilities.
The minister noted that the second phase of expansion will significantly increase the hospital’s capacity, enabling it to treat more patients and broaden its range of specialized services.

Rostom was accompanied by Heba El-Sewedy, founder and chair of the hospital’s board of trustees, who provided a detailed overview of the facility’s departments, cutting-edge technologies, and treatment protocols.
