Egypt’s PM Tours Egypt Post Pavilion at Cairo ICT 2025

Mona Yousef

In a high-profile visit underscoring Egypt’s accelerating digital transformation agenda, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inspected the Egypt Post pavilion at the Cairo ICT 2025 exhibition on Sunday. He was accompanied by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat and welcomed by Dalia El Baz, Chairwoman of the National Postal Authority.

El Baz presented a comprehensive overview of Egypt Post’s newest digital services and technology upgrades, positioning the institution as a key player in the country’s financial-technology ecosystem and broader economic modernization efforts.

Digital Transformation Strategy

Speaking during the tour, El Baz emphasized that Egypt Post’s participation in Cairo ICT 2025 reflects its commitment to supporting the government’s drive toward digitalization and financial inclusion. The authority, she said, is working to modernize its financial, postal, logistics, and government service offerings in line with global best practices.

“We are expanding our services to meet the needs of citizens and businesses in an increasingly digital economy,” El Baz noted, highlighting the importance of innovation in reaching underserved communities and offering secure, accessible financial tools.

Easy Pay, Visa Plus & Microfinance Solutions

This year’s pavilion showcased a suite of new and upgraded digital services, signaling one of the largest innovation rounds for Egypt Post in recent years.

Re-launch of the Easy Pay App

El Baz announced the enhanced launch of the Easy Pay mobile application, developed in partnership with e-Finance. The revamped platform enables users to:

  • Pay utility bills
  • Top up mobile credit
  • Settle university tuition fees
  • Receive money transfers

Egypt Post also rolled out the VISA Plus service, designed to streamline remittances from abroad — a critical financial lifeline for millions of Egyptians.

New Loyalty Program & Microfinance Expansion

A new customer loyalty program aims to encourage the use of digital payment solutions, while microfinance services are being expanded through partnerships with specialized financial institutions to strengthen financial inclusion nationwide.

Smart Parcel Stations “Post Collect” Launch for 24/7 Delivery

One of the pavilion’s most significant highlights was the debut of Post Collect, Egypt’s first nationwide smart-parcel locker system. The service allows customers to receive packages around the clock using a one-time passcode to unlock designated smart lockers.

El Baz confirmed that these stations will be deployed across high-traffic locations, including shopping malls and metro stations, offering greater convenience and reducing delivery congestion.

“Felousi”: Egypt’s First Integrated Digital Investment Platform

In a move poised to reshape retail investing in Egypt, El Baz unveiled Felousi, the country’s first fully digital investment platform. Developed by BFI Investment Services — a subsidiary of Post for Investment and licensed by the Financial Regulatory Authority — the app provides unprecedented access to investment products through a mobile-first experience.

One of the Region’s Largest Digital Investment Hubs

According to Egypt Post, Felousi stands among the Middle East’s most comprehensive digital investment ecosystems, offering:

  • Access to 40+ investment funds
  • Asset classes including gold, equities, fixed income, and real-estate funds
  • Egyptian stock market index funds and sector-focused vehicles such as technology and property funds

The platform aims to democratize investment in Egypt, enabling everyday users to buy fund units with minimal friction.

A National Institution Positioned for the Future

Wrapping up the tour, El Baz stressed that Egypt Post is pursuing an ambitious strategy to enhance its national role and provide advanced services aligned with citizen needs.

“Egypt Post will continue investing in innovation to support the state’s digital transformation and financial-inclusion goals,” she said.

Cairo ICT 2025 continues to serve as a regional benchmark for technological innovation, and this year’s showcase positions Egypt Post as a central pillar in the nation’s evolving digital infrastructure.
