Egypt’s National Council for Women has implemented a series of entrepreneurship training sessions for women in Beheira Governorate as part of the “Rabeha” program, which aims to strengthen women’s entrepreneurial skills, improve business management and increase the sustainability of women-led projects.
The program focuses on entrepreneurship fundamentals, financial planning, business planning, marketing, and personal and leadership skills, helping participants develop stronger capabilities to manage and grow their businesses professionally.
“Rabeha” is implemented in cooperation with UN Women, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Onsi Sawiris Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center at the School of Business at The American University in Cairo, alongside the National Council for Women, the Ministry of Industry and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency, with support from the Government of Canada.
Participants also receive access to technical support and specialized consultations after completing the training through connections with supporting organizations and business incubators. This support is designed to help women develop their projects, improve competitiveness and expand into new markets.
The initiative is part of Egypt’s broader efforts to promote women’s economic empowerment, strengthen women’s participation in economic activity and support sustainable development.
