Egypt’s Cabinet has approved a draft decision to classify the projects for establishing permanent offices of the National Council for Women in Damietta and New Valley Governorates as national projects.
The decision was approved during the Cabinet’s weekly meeting on Thursday, August 6, 2026, chaired by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
The classification will apply under the provisions of Egypt’s Building Law No 119 of 2008 and its executive regulations.
The decision aims to facilitate the completion and issuance of the necessary licenses and permits for the projects, as well as the technical and administrative procedures associated with their implementation.
According to the decision, these measures are intended to help ensure faster implementation, greater accuracy and the highest standards of safety and quality.
The projects are also part of the National Council for Women’s efforts to expand its network of permanent branch offices across Egypt’s governorates.
Establishing permanent offices will enable the Council to provide women and girls with more direct access to its services, support and assistance in different parts of the country.
The move is in line with Egypt’s Sustainable Development Strategy and the state’s efforts to expand access to services and support for women and girls nationwide.
