Banque Misr, Represented by Dr. Fatma El-Goully, Signs EGP 18.5M Protocol to Support Persons with Disabilities

Banque Misr has signed a tripartite partnership protocol with the National Council for Persons with Disabilities and the Al-Hassan Foundation for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities, committing EGP 18.5 million to provide modern wheelchairs for individuals with motor disabilities. Representing the bank at the signing was Fatma El-Goully, Chief Corporate Communication Officer.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Hisham Ezz El-Arab, CEO of Bank Misr; Hossam Abdelwahab, Deputy CEO; Dr. Iman Kareem, General Supervisor of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities; and Mai Zein, Executive Director of Al-Hassan Foundation. Fatma El-Goully signed the protocol on behalf of Banque Misr, reaffirming the bank’s dedication to human-centered initiatives.

The protocol was signed in the presence of senior representatives from the participating organizations, including Dr. Iman Kareem, General Supervisor of the National Council, and Mai Zein, Executive Director of the Al-Hassan Foundation.

The protocol reflects a strategic alliance among three key institutions: the financial sector, government bodies, and civil society organizations. It underscores a shared vision to empower people with disabilities, enhance their quality of life, and facilitate their full integration into society.

Enhancing Mobility, Dignity, and Participation

The initiative will deliver modern, ergonomically designed wheelchairs tailored to the specific physical needs of recipients, including customized manual wheelchairs and specialized models for individuals with cerebral palsy. The aim is to grant beneficiaries greater independence, mobility, and social integration, enabling them to participate more fully in education, work, and community life.
