He noted the growing popularity of the sport, attracting tourists from across the globe, who eagerly attend the events and enjoy the exciting performances.

The meeting also addressed the implementation of Prime Minister directives for governors to expand the “One-Day Market” model in cities across Egypt. The initiative aims to increase the availability of food goods at affordable prices and of good quality. Dr. Awad stressed the importance of expanding fixed and mobile outlets, as well as one-day markets, in South Sinai to control food prices, ensure the availability of goods, and reduce the financial burden on citizens, especially those from low-income and vulnerable groups.

Governor Mubarak shared details about the expansion of the one-day market initiative in South Sinai, including the recent openings in Ras Sedr, Sharm El Sheikh, and Taba. These markets have been well-received by local residents, offering a wide range of essential foodstuffs, including meat, poultry, vegetables, fruits, fish, bakery items, eggs, and handicrafts. Discounts of 20-30% are being applied to these products, which have contributed to easing the economic pressure on local families.

During the meeting, Dr. Awad also followed up on the progress of the “Great Revelation” project in Saint Catherine, which aims to enhance the region’s historical, religious, and environmental significance. She received updates on the ongoing development works, execution rates, and various aspects of the project, which holds great importance due to its economic, tourism, and cultural value.

In conclusion, Dr. Awad expressed her continued commitment to improving the quality of essential services in South Sinai. She also reviewed the ongoing efforts to facilitate the settlement of building violations and follow up on the reconciliation process, including the payment of settlement fees and the execution rates. Additionally, she discussed the implementation of various developmental and infrastructure projects in the region, which include the improvement of drinking water systems and the enhancement of main roads.
