Dr. Al-Awady, in turn, presented ESCWA’s technical cooperation activities in the Arab region and discussed the ISPAR policy indicator tool, which aids policymakers in addressing women’s issues, along with ESCWA’s extensive training programs for governments on gender equality.

Dr. Amal Ammar traveled to Muscat, Oman, to attend two key high-level meetings organized by ESCWA. These included the 12th session of the ESCWA Women’s Committee and a high-level Arab meeting on the progress of implementing the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action +30, commemorating 30 years since its adoption. The meetings were held in partnership with the League of Arab States and UN Women, showcasing the strong role of the NCW in advancing gender equality both regionally and globally.
