The Egyptian tennis star , Mayar Sherif, continued her strong form, partnering with Serbian Nina Stojanovic to clinch the women’s doubles title at the Copa LP Chile, a WTA 125-point event.
The duo’s victory came by default as their French opponents were unable to compete in the final match scheduled for Saturday. This marks another significant achievement for Sherif, who has been steadily climbing the WTA rankings.
In the singles tournament, Sherif, currently ranked 100th, is set to face off against Argentina’s Maria Carlé (ranked 94th) in the semifinals on Sunday.
The Copa LP Chile is being held in Chile from November 17 to 24.
