President Sisi Attends BRICS+ Summit in Kazan

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Sisi participated in the BRICS+ summit held in Kazan, Russia, where leaders from Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, and several other nations convened to discuss global economic challenges and cooperation.
During the summit, President Sisi  highlighted the importance of multilateralism in addressing pressing issues such as climate change, food security, and sustainable development. He highlighted Egypt’s recent initiatives in green projects and renewable energy, underscoring the nation’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
Sisi also advocated for increased collaboration among BRICS+ members, particularly in areas of trade and investment, suggesting that a unified approach could foster economic growth and resilience in the face of global uncertainties.
The summit featured discussions on expanding the BRICS+ group to include more emerging economies, with Sisi expressing support for this initiative. He argued that enhancing representation would better reflect the interests of developing nations on the global stage.
In addition to bilateral meetings with other leaders, Sisi participated in various working sessions focused on technological innovation and digital transformation, aiming to leverage these advancements for national development.
