The Egyptian National Committee for Education, Science, and Culture (UNESCO-ALEXO-ISESCO), in partnership with UNESCO, is pleased to announce that nominations for the 2024 UNESCO Girls’ and Women’s Education Award are now open until May 15.

The award aims to recognize and celebrate organizations and individuals who have made significant contributions to the education of girls and women. We encourage all interested parties to submit their nominations before the deadline.

UNESCO has provided an explanation of the award that is supported by the Republic of China. The award was initiated in 2015, and it is presented to individuals, institutions, and organizations that have demonstrated exceptional and innovative contributions towards promoting girls’ and women’s education. This award is the first of its kind, showcasing successful projects that enhance the educational prospects of girls and women, leading to an improvement in the quality of their lives.

Prospective candidates are kindly requested to furnish the UNESCO National Committee with a brief synopsis of their project, intended for submission for the award. Additionally, a nomination letter, addressed to the National Commission, should also be provided.

All relevant documents are to be forwarded to the Commission via the designated e-mail no later than the 15th of May, 2024, until the National Committee of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) takes further action.
