NCW Receives Jordanian National Committee for Women to Exchange Expertise in Women Empowerment Field

The National Council for Women received a delegation from the Jordanian National Committee for Women in the presence of Counselor Sanaa Khalil, Vice President of the National Council for Women, Nisreen Al-Sayyed, Deputy Secretary-General of the Jordanian National Committee for Women, and representatives from both sides.

The visit aims to exchange expertise and experiences in the field of women’s empowerment and discuss ways of cooperation between the two sides in this context.

The visit included an inspection tour for the delegation at the Council, where the products of women who received training at the Council in many handicrafts were displayed, in addition to a visit to the Council’s library and the Women’s Complaints Office.

The meeting included a video presentation of a speech by Dr. Maya Morsi, President of the National Council for Women and President of the Eighth Session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Conference on Women, on behalf of the Arab Group, in the opening session of the International Conference on Women in Islam, entitled “Status and Empowerment”, organized by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah.

For its part, the delegation expressed its happiness at visiting the Council and learning about Egypt’s efforts in the field of empowering women in all fields, praising the efforts exerted so far, and expressing its aspiration towards cooperation with the Council in the field of women’s advancement during the coming period.
