Veteran Actress Laila Elwi to be Recognized at CIFET

The legendary Egyptian actress Laila Elwi will be honored at the Cairo International Festival for Contemporary and Experimental Theatre’s (CIFET) opening ceremony, according to the latest statements by Sameh Mahran, President of the Cairo International Festival.

The festival is scheduled to take place from September 1 to September 8. Close to 90 Egyptian, 87 Arab, and 88 international performances, including 18 for the international competition, will attend the festival in its 30th edition.

Mahran added that the event will also honor Industry icons, like Director Naser Abdel Meniem, Director Khaled Galal, Critic Galal Hafez, Giles Foreman, and Asiimwe Deborah.
