Trade Minister Upholds Ban on Export of Oxygen for One Year

On Saturday, the Minister of Trade and Industry, Ahmed Samir, maintained the ban imposed on the export of oxygen for a year as of July 15, except with the approval of the Ministry of Health.

Minister Samir said in an official statement issued by the Ministry of Trade that this latest move comes in line with the state’s comprehensive plan to ensure citizens and secure the needs of hospitals and medical institutions of oxygen.

On her part, the Head of the expenditures and external trade sector, Amany El Wesal, confirmed that the Ministry of Health underscored the necessity of maintaining the ban to secure the strategic stock of liquefied oxygen.
