On Thursday, Jan. 19, Trade and Industry Minister Ahmed Samir reiterated the ministry’s readiness to offer all possible support to investors operating in the Egyptian market in a bid to iron out hurdles facing them and increase exports to foreign markets.

The talks tackled the challenges facing the industrial sector and ways of coordinating with bodies concerned to enhance the competitiveness of local products.

The minister gave the remarks during his meeting with a number of lawmakers in the presence of several companies investing in the market.

Samir stated that the Industrial Modernization Center (IMC) made a list of 152 available investment opportunities for industrial products that could be manufactured locally to reduce exports.

He affirmed his belief that these local products will provide a good chance for companies seeking to deepen local manufacturing.
