In recognition of distinguished achievements and significant and influential contributions in supporting the national economy and promoting paths of development, the “Best in Egypt’s Summit” in cooperation with The Top 50 Women Forum and under the sponsorship of Telecom Egypt “We” honored a group of prominent Egyptian female leaders as part of the 2026 Most Influential Women Awards. This came in recognition of the growing role of Egyptian Women in different economic and social sectors. This award is presented annually to women with extraordinary achievements and leadership capabilities who have made vital contributions across various economic and developmental sectors in Egypt. The year’s list of honorees represents inspiring examples of female leaders who have made a crucial impact in their institutions and work sectors and contributed to shaping a more inclusive economic vision. Accordingly, contribute to enhancing women’s role as a main partner in driving growth, development, and decision-making. The awards were presented this year by Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Environment; Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities; Counselor Amal Amar, President of the National Council for Women; and Dina Abdel Fattah, Editor-in-chief of Amwal Al Ghad magazine and founder and chairperson of the 50 Most Women Forum.
Eng./ Hoda Dahroug
Engineer Hoda Dahroug, Advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Digital Community Development and Director of the Digital Transformation for Sustainable Development in Egypt, has more than 20 years of experience in digital transformation and economic and social development, with a strong track record of leading Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D). Her expertise focuses on employing technology to promote sustainable development in education, health, and agriculture sectors, empowering people with disabilities and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and social entrepreneurship.
She has led several initiatives and projects that have received international and regional recognition and won awards and nominations in the fields of innovation and digital content. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Sorbonne University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications from Cairo University.
Soha El-Torky
Soha El-Torky serves as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Banking Business and a Board Member at the National Bank of Egypt, the largest bank operating in Egypt, where she is responsible for the banking operations and treasury sectors. She is a seasoned leader in senior management, with 30+ years of experience at regional and international institutions. Her experience equipped her with a well-rounded set of skills and expertise. Before assuming her current position, she served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, becoming the first Vice President in the European Bank’s history to be appointed from the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean region.
She spent a long period at Citibank and Barclays, in addition to other prominent institutions in Egypt and the United Kingdom. Her previous roles included Chief Financial Officer of Barclays’ Corporate Banking division in the United Kingdom and Chief Financial Officer of Banque du Caire in Egypt. She is currently an independent non-executive board member at several institutions. She has also been honored several times among Forbes Middle East’s 100 Most Powerful Businesswomen, in addition to holding academic degrees from the American University in Cairo and the University of Oxford.
