Rasha Ragheb, Vice President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, has welcomed her appointment to the Board of Directors of the Future of Egypt Authority for Sustainable Development, describing the new role as both a major honor and a significant responsibility.
The appointment follows a presidential decision by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to form the authority’s new Board of Directors under the chairmanship of Dr. Bahaa El-Din El-Ghannam, with Ragheb among eight additional board members.

Following the publication of the presidential decision in Egypt’s Official Gazette, Ragheb shared the decision on her Facebook account and expressed her appreciation to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Dr. Bahaa El-Din El-Ghannam for their confidence in selecting her for the board.
In her statement, Ragheb described joining the board of an institution of this importance at a critical stage in its development as a great honor accompanied by an even greater responsibility.
She emphasized that the appointment represents an opportunity to contribute her expertise to a national institution working on major development priorities.
Supporting Egypt’s Sustainable Development
Ragheb highlighted the Future of Egypt Authority for Sustainable Development as an important national driver of sustainable development and economic growth.
She pointed to the authority’s role in supporting Egypt’s food, water and energy security, while strengthening investment and partnerships with the private sector.
According to Ragheb, these priorities are directly connected to Egypt’s present needs as well as the long-term interests of future generations.
