Tarek Radwan appreciates state’s efforts to advance human rights, empower women

According to Tarek Radwan, chair of the House of Representatives’ human rights committee, Egypt attended the 73rd Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights, which took place in Banjul from October 21 to November 9, 2022.

This involvement demonstrates its steadfast commitment to continuing efforts to enhance social, cultural, and economic progress as well as the status of women, the rights of children, the elderly, and those with disabilities, and the empowerment of youth.

Egypt places a high value on empowering women, which is exemplified by its ongoing efforts to promote gender equality at work, as well as its ongoing efforts to ensure women’s financial inclusion and combat violence and discrimination against them, whether through the introduction of pertinent legislative amendments or public awareness campaigns.
