According to El Youm7, the Human Rights Committee of the House of Representatives, chaired by Representative Tariq Radwan, devoted its meeting next Tuesday to discuss in length the role of psychological rehabilitation centers and programs for female victims of violence.

The Ministry of Social Solidarity and the National Council for Women announced their participation in Sunday’s meeting, provided the committee continues to host all authorities and ministries concerned with the issue, particularly the Ministry of Health and the General Secretariat for Mental Health during the upcoming meetings.

This comes in addition to examining complaints submitted by citizens and associations related to human rights, legislation related to transitional justice, and other issues within the framework of ministries and bodies.

It is noteworthy that the internal regulations of the House of Representatives issued No. 1 of 2016, amended by Law No. 136 of 202, defined the terms of reference of the Human Rights Committee, foremost of which are rights and freedoms and issues related to international humanitarian law, international human rights law, reports of the National Council for Human Rights, aspects related to human rights, reports of national councils, independent bodies, and regulatory bodies.
