President Abdel Fattah El Sisi awarded Counselor Amany El-Rafei , Former Head of the Administrative Prosecution Authority (APA), the Order of the republic of the First Class in recognition of her efforts and on the occasion of the completion of its bid on June 30, 2019.

El Rafei is the fifth woman to head a judicial authority in Egypt.  She started her law career at the APA in 1975 as an administrative prosecution deputy at many sectors in her home-city of Alexandria, until she was promoted to work at the Technical Office of the APA Chairman in 1994.

She was then the Director of several administrative representations in Alexandria as of 2006, and in 2011 she took her post as an agent for the Alexandria technician’s office and then as an agent for the Alexandria disciplinary branch to be selected in March 2018 as an agent for the appeals chamber’s technical office.
