SCA Chairman Lieutenant-General Osama Rabie announced that the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) added 28 new locomotives to its fleet as part of a comprehensive plan to develop the maritime fleet.

Rabie indicated that the canal has become an integrated service of maintenance, repair, and good management.

In a recent statement, he said Floating dock “Fakhr El Canal” successfully arrived in Egypt’s Port Said naval arsenal after passing through the Suez Canal on a journey coming from the South Korean arsenal, SANG SANGIN.

The head of the SCA noted that the floating dock has a capacity of 35,000 tons and represents a quantum leap for Port Said’s arsenal, as it helps diversify the canal’s sources of income.

Rabie added that the Suez Canal has a ship repair and construction service with the highest level of efficiency and experience.

He announced the transit of the world’s newest container ship on its first sea voyage through the Suez Canal and that all oil ships with the flag pass through the Suez Canal, stressing an increase in the rate of transit of oil containers by 17%.
