Salah El-Din Citadel Music Festival to Kick off its 31st Session on August 25

On Friday, August 25, the Salah El-Din Citadel International Festival for Music and Singing will begin its 31st edition.

According to Sada El Balad, the celebration will begin at 8:00 PM and run for 14 days straight. It supposedly ends on Thursday, September 7.

It is run jointly with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities by the Cairo Opera House, overseen by Dr. Khaled Dagher.

According to a statement from Dagher, the new edition has a fresh strategy that strives to exhibit extremely beautiful hues that appeal to the interests of many age and social groups.

The event features 45 unique performances, including debut performances by Egyptian and Arab musicians.

Numerous well-known artists, including Simone, Hany Shaker, Walid Toufic, Nadia Mustafa, Ali El Haggar, Hisham Abbas, Medhat Saleh, Ghalia Benali, Nesma Mahgoub, Faia Younan, and Rock band Wust El-Balad, are featured on the event’s lineup and will perform on different dates.

Additionally, musicians like Omar Khairat and Hisham Kharma will also be performing at the event, in addition to performances by international troupes in cooperation with the Foreign Cultural Relations Sector.

El-Mahky Theatre will host two consecutive concerts as part of the festival, while the outdoor theater will host a third.

Moreover, 5,000 seats were placed, and Stage LED screens were set up for the event to further enhance the viewing experience of attendees.

One of the longest-running and most significant festivals for music and singing is held annually at the Salah El-Din Citadel and is put on by the Ministry of Culture.

Due to the diversity and depth of its creative program, the festival has succeeded in gaining enormous popularity since its founding in 1990.
