Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation 2020

Rania Al-Mashat was Born on June 20 in Menoufia Governorate. She held the position of “Deputy Governor of the Central Bank for Monetary Policy ” and played an important role in the framework of modernizing monetary policy for Egypt by analyzing and assessing monetary policy and preparing its own models among other responsibilities. She also worked as a senior economist at the International Monetary Fund in Washington before joining the Egyptian Central bank. She also holds a masters and PHD in economics from the University of Maryland in the US, Park College and her area of ​​specialization includes macroeconomic applications, international economics and monetary policy with a number of publications related to these fields. She also held the position of Deputy Project Director at the Center for Institutional Reform and the Informal Sector (IRIS) at the University of Maryland.
In addition of being a member of the Executive Board of the Egyptian Stock Exchange and the Arab Investment Bank, she holds the degree of Professor Assistant of Economics at the American University in Cairo, and the degree of Research Fellow at the Economic Research Forum of Arab Countries, Iran and Turkey. She also works as a reporter in several economic newspapers.
