Petroleum Minister Talks Expansion Plans with Apache’s Officials

On Sunday, February 12, Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tarek El-Molla met John Christmann, CEO of Apache Corporation, and David Chi, Vice-President of Apache Corporation and General Manager for Apache Egypt Companies.

The meeting came on the sidelines of the inauguration of the exhibition of the 6th Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS 2023) on Sunday.

During the meeting, they explored the company’s plans to intensify exploration and production activities in its concession areas.

The minister affirmed that Apache is one of the main partners in the petroleum sector, adding that it achieved distinguished results during its work period in Egypt.

He further said that the ministry spares no effort to support the serious investment plans and ease burdens facing more success, especially since this contributes to supporting the ministry’s strategy in increasing production.

For his part, Christmann expressed his optimism over the success of the company’s upcoming two-year plan.

He further stressed Apache’s commitment to maintaining its investments in Egypt. Christman indicated that the company is operating in a stable environment.
