The National Council for Women, represented by the Women’s Complaints Office, launched the first specialized program to provide psychological support to women exposed to domestic violence through a specialized group of doctors and psychologists in cooperation with the Spanish Agency project.
For her part, the Director of the Council’s Women’s Complaints Office, Amal Abdel Moneim, confirmed that the program’s activities included conducting individual sessions with women to learn about their problems in particular, identify sources of support, and individually evaluate the psychological situation for each woman, and then provide them with emotional support and informational support that enables them to deal with their problems and help them recover better.
The program’s activities also included implementing specialized programs for women’s children through implementing a set of activities by a team of specialists from the National Council for Women in dealing with children.
It is worth noting that the Women’s Complaints Office always seeks to provide advanced and complete psychological support services to women by expanding the inclusion of leading partner agencies in the psychological field, in addition to working to increase community partnership and forming a network of specialized psychological supporters to cover all required psychological services.
The Women’s Complaints Office also receives complaints about violations of women’s rights and freedoms and refers them to the competent department that works to resolve them with the relevant authorities and provides the necessary judicial assistance via their hotline “15115”, a personal interview, or he WhatsApp application on the number 01007525600.
