by Nada Khaled

The National Council for Women continues its efforts within the financial education program as a new phase of the program begins. That new phase targets 28,000 women across 22 governorates by implementing 800 training within the framework of the national project for Egyptian family development, currently being implemented in the villages of Decent Life.

The program aims to raise women’s financial awareness through many activities they undertake during the five-day training period. Through the program, women receive proper and inclusive education on several topics, including how to prepare and follow up on personal budgets, various means of saving, and their advantages and disadvantages.

They also learn how to select the most appropriate method according to their financial goals, besides the various means of financing and loans, in addition to calculating the value of loans and dealing with insurance and financial institutions.

It is worth noting that the Council trained 40,000 women from November 2021 to May 2023 at the level of the governorates and centers of the first phase of the Decent Life governorates within the framework of the national project for Egyptian family development.
