NCW Concludes “With Art, Egypt is Better” Initiative in Al-Asmarat

The National Council for Women, represented by the Arts and Literature Committee, concluded the activities of the initiative launched under the title “With art, Egypt is better”, or (Bel Fan, Masr A7la), at the cultural center in Al-Asmarat neighborhood.

The activities of the artistic workshop concluded with a painting designed by children, and a sketch of theatrical representation, which is a representative scene on women’s issues.

The workshop was supervised by Dr. Sherif Hindawi, Professor of Mural Painting, and Professors Maria Moheb and Nada Abdel Jalil, Teaching Assistants at the Faculty of Fine Arts, while the theatrical acting workshop was supervised by Gamal Abdel Nasser, theatrical director, and Soha El Sharkawy, journalist and actress.

The event took place from 12 to 14 August and targeted several children from the neighborhood, in the presence of Rania Yehia, member of the council and rapporteur of the committee, with the participation of members and members of the committee, including the artist Tariq El-Desouki, and Dr. Samar Saeed, Dean of the Higher Institute of Folklore.

Dr. Rania Yehia confirmed that the initiative aimed to educate the children of the Asmarat neighborhood about the importance of art and its role in influencing society, developing their abilities, and unleashing their artistic energies through the implementation of artistic workshops for drawing and theatrical representation.
