“NCW”: 2030 strategy guaranteed women’s rights and equality
Magda Mahmoud, the rapporteur of the National Council of Women, said that Egyptian women have great support from the Egyptian state under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and live in their golden age, stating that the 2014 Constitution guarantees women their full rights.
She added that the National Strategy 2030 also guaranteed women their rights and equality with men and empowered them politically and economically, pointing to the important role that the presidential initiative offers a decent life in supporting Egyptian women.
She also reviewed the role of the National Council for Women in the field of supporting and empowering Egyptian women and expatriate women economically and combating underage marriage, violence against women and harassment, through the council’s offices in all governorates of Egypt and through the council’s hotline, pointing out that the women’s economic empowerment program has achieved LE 2.9 billion.
