The National Alliance for Civil Development Work (NACDW) showcased its impactful model of women’s empowerment and community development at the 34th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF), which concluded today at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
Amb. Nabila Makram, Head of the Technical Secretariat of NACDW, represented the alliance at the prestigious event, following an invitation from the Muslim Council of Elders. This invitation recognized NACDW’s significant role in empowering women and bolstering their contributions to community advancement.
During a prominent panel discussion, Amb. Makram shone a spotlight on the crucial role of Egyptian women, particularly the dedicated female volunteers within NACDW. She emphasized their instrumental impact in tackling socio-economic challenges and providing vital support to underprivileged families throughout Egypt’s various governorates.
Furthermore, Makram underscored NACDW’s distinctive and effective approach to civil development. This model unites diverse civil society organizations under a cohesive national framework. A key feature of this framework is its focus on prioritizing the needs of citizens and, notably, granting women a leading role in both fieldwork and grassroots community initiatives.
NACDW’s participation at ADIBF underscores its commitment to sharing Egypt’s valuable experiences in development and societal progress on prominent regional and international stages. It also reflects the alliance’s dedication to fostering collaboration with other organizations deeply invested in human development and the empowerment of communities.
