Egypt’s renowned actress, Nabila Ebeid, expressed her massive joy at being honored during the Aswan Women’s Film Festival, scheduled to start next Sunday, and commented on her Instagram page: Aswan, the city of the sun and the charming blue nature of its Nile, the windows and white walls of its houses that resemble kind hearts of its people. I am happy to be honored on its land in a film festival that was born to greatness and proved its existence despite its few years of sessions.
She added: I have been following the Aswan Women’s Film Festival since its first session, and was beyond happy when they chose me to be honored in its latest session. Thank you to the festival’s president, screenwriter Mohamed Abdel-Khalek, journalist and writer Hassan Abu El-Ela, festival director, the festival’s supreme authority, and all the team effort involved in making us feel the scent of basil and the beautiful flowers of Aswan.
It is noteworthy that prolific actress Nabila presented her first starring role on the silver screen through the movie “Raba’a Al-Adawiya” with director Niazi Mustafa; her stardom emerged in the mid-seventies and the audience gave her the title of “Egypt’s Number 1 Star”, after her numerous roles of films that achieved public and critical success.
