MSME Institute is keen to provide diverse training courses for small project owners in various agricultural, industrial, and craft production sectors.
The institute works hand in hand with various development partners, including the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation, the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation, and the Foreign Trade Training Center, in addition to working to contribute to the empowerment of women and people with disabilities, especially in rural and border areas.
The Project Development Institute implemented several events and activities targeting both women and people with disabilities by holding free training courses that help them acquire new skills that enable them to start their new projects or develop their existing projects.
These events included a training program to develop the technical skills of people with disabilities in the field of handicrafts, in addition to several training programs in the field of entrepreneurship and developing teamwork skills for women in natural productive clusters within the framework of the project “Contributing to creating job opportunities for women in Upper Egypt by improving their capabilities and developing productive clusters,” which the institute is implementing in cooperation with the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for Development.
Moreover, an orientation camp was also held to build women’s capacities in the fields of packaging, export readiness, and e-commerce as part of the program’s activities to qualify and train 50 women to export handicrafts and heritage within the framework of cooperation with the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation and the Foreign Trade Training Center.
Basil Rahmi, CEO of MSME, stressed that the agency works according to several different axes. The most important one is building citizens’ capacities and skills to help them move towards self-employment or develop their existing projects.
The institute cooperates with various development partners to implement free training courses periodically in all governorates to help project owners develop their production and compete in domestic and foreign markets. This contributes to creating more job opportunities and improving the economic level of the project owners.
