Ministers of Communication and Int’l Cooperation Attend Signing of German Grant Deal to Support E-Government

International Cooperation Minister Rania Al Mashat and Communications and Information Technology Minister Amr Talaat attended on Wednesday the signing ceremony of an agreement between the Communications and Information Technology Ministry and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) on cooperating in carrying out the first phase of the project focused on supporting e-Government and innovation in the Public Administration (InnoPA) at a grant of 8 M euros out of 17.5 M euros.

InnoPA aims to promote innovation in the digital transition and boost e-government and calls for establishing a lab for developing government services applications.

Under the deal, both sides will cooperate in backing the organizational framework and coordinating digital transformation, in addition to active management of official developmental assistance and digital transition of the public administration.
