Marwa El-Nakrashy: “Masarak Le Bokra” Qualifies Youth to Lead Digital Transformation and Meets Global Market Demands

Cairo – July 1, 2026

Marwa El-Nakrashy, Director General of the Development Programs and Knowledge Management Department at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), affirmed that the digital economy has become the primary driver of the global labor market. Speaking at the launch of the “Masarak Le Bokra” (Your Path to Tomorrow) initiative, she noted that rapid technological evolution—marked by the rise of Artificial Intelligence—is fundamentally reshaping the landscape of required skills and professional specializations.

El-Nakrashy emphasized that Egypt holds a strategic advantage in this global shift, supported by clear national policies such as Egypt Vision 2030 and the MCIT’s Digital Transformation Strategy. These frameworks prioritize human capital development and innovation, ensuring that the nation’s youth are equipped to compete in an increasingly digital-first economy.

With nearly one million students graduating annually from Egyptian higher education institutions, El-Nakrashy highlighted this massive workforce as a powerful engine for technological leadership. She noted that the key to unlocking this potential lies in aligning their skills with the actual requirements of the modern job market.

The Director General pointed out that the growing awareness of corporate social responsibility within the private sector, alongside expanded youth-centric initiatives, provides a vital opportunity for collaboration. This synergy between the state, the private sector, and civil society was the catalyst for the “Building an Integrated Professional Personality” program, a core module of the “Masarak Le Bokra” initiative.

The program is built upon four strategic pillars:
1. Bridging the Gap: Aligning academic education with current market demands.
2. Capability Building: Developing digital, life, and leadership skills among Egyptian youth.
3. Employability: Enhancing career prospects through direct mentorship and qualification.
4. Leadership Networking: Creating a community of young leaders capable of driving Egypt’s digital future.

El-Nakrashy explained that the program’s methodology goes beyond theoretical learning. It begins with talent discovery and selection based on rigorous criteria, followed by specialized training and professional mentorship, and culminates in hands-on internships within a vast network of partner corporations. This approach ensures that knowledge is seamlessly translated into practical application.

In its current phase, the program offers two main tracks: Digital Marketing and Data & Systems Analysis, integrated with a comprehensive module on AI applications—a cross-disciplinary essential in today’s economy.

A standout feature of the initiative is its professional mentorship component. Participants engage daily with leaders and experts from both the public and private sectors to accelerate their market readiness. This is supported by an extensive network of approximately 700 partner companies across diverse industries, including investment and financial services, information technology, management consulting, media, marketing, public policy, and healthcare.

“The true value of this program lies in its integration,” El-Nakrashy stated. “By combining training, empowerment, mentorship, and practical application, we are producing graduates who are not only locally competitive but globally capable of thriving in a fast-paced digital economy.”

Looking ahead, El-Nakrashy revealed that the ultimate goal is to evolve the program into a comprehensive digital platform and an expanded training academy. This expansion will allow for greater geographical reach and a significant increase in the number of beneficiaries in future stages.
