Governor of Beni Suef Inaugurates NCW’s Beni Suef Branch, Honors Distinguished Female Role Models

Governor Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, inaugurated the headquarters of the National Council for Women branch in Beni Suef, in the presence of Bilal Habash, Deputy Governor; Nermine Mahmoud, Rapporteur of the Council branch in the governorate; Dr. Hanan Suleiman, Member of the Senate; Dr. Salwa Riyad, Former Rapporteur of the Council branch; Hani Al-Juwaili, Head of Beni Suef, within the framework of the celebration of the national holiday of the province, and in conjunction with the holidays of the Egyptian family and women.

The governor expressed his happiness with the opening of the new headquarters of the branch, which is a continuation of the state’s efforts to support and empower Egyptian women, appreciating the clear efforts made by the Council under the leadership of Dr. Maya Morsi, Head of the Council, in the field of serving women’s issues, which include the political, economic, social and legal fields.

Following the inauguration, the governor inspected the components and sections of the branch’s headquarters, which consists of two floors, include many offices, departments, sections, administrative rooms, women’s complaints offices, training rooms of varying sizes, meeting rooms, next to an office for the savings and loan program, and a place for a production unit workshop to train women and girls in handicrafts and sewing.

Ghoneim pointed out that the governorate works to advance women’s efforts and take advantage of their capabilities to improve all aspects of life, noting its keenness to support and encourage women leaders, whether in the field of public work or volunteer and community work, given their determination to face challenges, expressing his appreciation for the role of the NCW effective participation with all governorate agencies, and provision of basic services for Swedish women and girls in various centers, cities, and villages.

The governor also honored several distinguished female models in many different fields within the framework of the celebration of Egyptian Women’s Day and handed them certificates of appreciation, expressing his great admiration for their success stories and their honorable careers, and praised them as role models that we should highlight, stressing the pivotal role For women in the advancement of Egyptian society, especially in the current period that witnesses the active participation of women and enjoys unprecedented support from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which the state has translated in more than one field, especially in the aspects of empowering women in all fields.

The list of honorees included Souad Fadlallah, President of the Girl Guides Association; Mona Abdel Wahhab Muhammad; Iman Rabie, a student at the Faculty of Commerce; Jihan Sayed Muhammad, supervisor of the Islamic Call Society orphanage; Mona Sultan, a person of determination; Basma Milad, President of the Court; Nadia Muhammad Al-Saghir; Souad Ahmed, Director of the School in Al-Wasta; Safaa Hamed Ratib, Nurse in Samasta; Magda Mukhtar, Rural Leader; Tony Ana, Supervisor of the Mental Disabilities House in the East.

For her part, the rapporteur of the council branch in Beni Suef expressed her appreciation to the governor, Dr. Mohamed Hany Ghoneim, and his supportive efforts in general in the field of supporting the governorate’s women’s issues in various fields, and particularly his directives for the speedy completion of all necessary procedures to start the construction work of the headquarters of the council branch in the governorate. The plot of land was allocated for this purpose years ago to establish permanent headquarters for the Council, which represents an important step in supporting women.
