Governor of Aswan Inaugurates “Women Lead in the Egyptian Governorates” in Cooperation with The National Academy

Major General Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan, opened the activities of the “Women Lead in the Egyptian Governorates” symposium, organized in cooperation with the National Training Academy.

The event came in the presence of Dr. Ghada Abu Zeid, Deputy Governor; Dr. Loay Saad El-Din, Vice President of the University; Engineer Fatima Ibrahim, General Secretary; and Dr. Hoda; Mustafa, rapporteur of the National Council for the Women’s branch in Aswan, as well as members of the National Training Academy, led by Ayman Al-Atfihi, the academy’s advisor.

The Governor voiced his happiness to participate in the launch activities of the National Training Academy for the “Women’s Preparation School for Leadership” program, which includes several programs offered to women, such as the “Women Lead in the Egyptian Governorates” program so that Egyptian women can assume the position they so richly deserve.

He highlighted that women have received great and unprecedented attention from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which has crystallized in their obtaining many gains at all levels. This was embodied in the declaration of 2017 as the Year of Women, with the launch of the “Women’s Empowerment 2030” strategy.

He further stressed that women have become at the forefront of the public scene and the forefront of the ranks, and that is why empowering Aswani women comes among the priorities of the executive agenda due to women’s competence and determination to succeed and excel at all times, and there are many honorable models at the governorate level.

It is worth noting that the Egyptian state in the new republic has a firm belief that the role of status and capabilities of women are outstanding, and therefore they have deservedly succeeded in the most prestigious positions that they have held, such as minister, governor, deputy governor, parliamentarian, judge, diplomat, university, and others

The governor extended his thanks to the National Training Academy, led by Dr. Rasha Ragheb, for its efforts in giving real opportunities to women and youth for empowerment and leadership through qualification, training, and advanced programs. He also thanked Aswan University, led by Dr. Ayman Othman, for the university’s sponsorship of many, many activities, events, and conferences.

He advised the women of Aswan about the importance of participating in this training program aimed at achieving the greatest possible benefit, especially in light of the fruitful cooperation with the National Training Academy to implement a diverse series of training programs in Aswan to facilitate the people of the governorate, as these programs aim to empower women and youth in all fields.
