
As per the Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry Headed to Turkey and Syria this morning for the first time to offer his support for both countries after the quake.
The 7.8-magnitude quake that struck on February 6 killed more than 46,000 people in both countries.
In his statement, Abu Zeid’s added that this trip aims to show solidarity with the two countries and their brotherly citizens after the devastating earthquake that hit Syria and Turkey earlier this month.
He further indicated that the foreign minister will reiterate Egypt’s permanent preparedness to deliver relief to the afflicted areas of both nations, adding that Egypt’s government and people cannot fail to support their brothers.
