Female Egyptian Professor Receives Capo Circeo Award

Cairo University Professor Fatma Ashour of Faculty of the Engineering received the European Capo Circeo Award and was honored at the Italian Senate Hall.

The award is given to scholars from all over Europe and other beyond who engage in diverse activities.

Ashour received the Capo Circeo award for her contributions and active participation in her field of research, according to the “Egypt Independent” website.

She made a name for herself thanks to her work in many academic fields related to chemical engineering, energy resources, pollution and environmental impact mitigation, and women’s empowerment.

Ashour also made outstanding contributions to research, raising training standards in universities, modernizing engineering education, and the rapid and profound economic, social, and cultural transformations of the people of the Mediterranean region.

Cairo University President Mohamed al-Khosht congratulated Ashour, praising her distinguished scientific and research contributions to various scientific projects, and her organization of many successful research projects.

Khosht said that honoring Cairo University scholars and researchers in international scientific forums is a culmination of the hard work done by university students who wish to serve their society and build a better future.

He assured me that the university aims to transfer this scientific research to the ground.

It will also serve people in solving their problems by continuing to provide support to its scholars in various disciplines, guaranteeing the upgrading of its standing locally and internationally.
