Etisalat Misr, one of Egypt’s leading mobile network operators, is actively restoring its services to full capacity after experiencing a partial outage in multiple neighborhoods in Cairo. The disruption impacted several mobile and internet services provided by the company.

The telecommunications company has identified the issue as a result of a fiber optic cable being severed in the New Cairo area due to ongoing construction activities. This cable cut has affected specific areas and hindered customers’ ability to access certain communication services.

“The company has taken immediate and significant measures to rectify the situation and is currently working diligently to repair the fault and restore services to their full capacity,” the statement explained.

The service disruption began at approximately 6:00 PM Cairo Time (GMT +2), leading to numerous Etisalat customers expressing their frustration on various social media platforms due to difficulties making calls or accessing mobile data services.

Many affected individuals opted to voice their complaints directly through Etisalat’s official social media accounts, seeking assistance and updates regarding the ongoing restoration efforts.
