Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad Explores Ways to Develop Wadi Degla Natural Reserve

Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad has confirmed that the ministry is currently working to increase private sector participation in the development of the Wadi Degla Natural Reserve.

The minister’s remarks came yesterday, January 18, during a meeting with Botros Samy, Chairman of Wadi Degla Company, in the presence of respective officials. 

The minister suggested that the Environment Ministry work with investors for a year to develop the natural reserve.

Fouad further praised investors’ efforts to protect the environment and maximize the use of natural resources.

The minister stated that work is being done in collaboration with investors to develop the natural reserve into a one-of-a-kind ecotourism destination.
