Egypt’s Yomna Ayad Becomes the First Egyptian Female Boxer to Qualify for Olympics

Egyptian Female Boxer Youmna Ayad, who plays for the national boxing team, has just secured a place in the Paris 2024 Olympics. Ayad is now the first Egyptian Female Boxer to ever qualify for the Olympics.

By defeating Algeria 3-1 on Saturday, Yomna earned a spot in the African Boxing Championship final in Senegal.

During the tournament, she played alongside Habiba Mohammed, Rahma Mahfouz, and Rawan Ahmed.

The Egyptian Champion, who had previously won bronze at the Mediterranean Games, secured victory in the African qualifier’s final match against Algeria’s champion, securing yet another milestone in her flourishing boxing career.
