Egyptians Win International Awards In 2022

The year 2022 witnessed the brilliance of Egyptians and their achievements of a large number of scientific awards in various fields, including the United Nations Award for Empowerment of Women, the International Award for Excellence in Business Administration in London, and other awards, which Al-Watan reviews in this report.

Best Research Award at the Vienna Conference

Dr. Hala Taha Mohamed Salem, a teacher at the National Center for Radiation Research and Technology, participated in the International Conference on Integrated Medical Imaging in Cardiovascular Diseases, at the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, which is one of the best international conferences; her research won the best research award among 86 papers at the international conference.

Global Excellence Award in Business Administration in London

Dalia Ibrahim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nahdet Misr Publishing, won second place in the International Excellence Award in Business Administration.

The award is organized by the AMBA MBA Association and the BGA Business Alumni Association for the year 2022-2023. Dalia Ibrahim belongs to the Distinguished Leadership category in London.

The “ENR” award as the best transportation project in the world during 2022

The giant Adly Mansour Central Interchange Station project won the award for the best transport project in the world during the current year, according to the evaluation of the international “ENR” magazine, and that was last September, as the award is given to the best projects and the most influential according to their positive contribution to society and the environment.

Best Amateur Photographer in the World

Youssef Nasser, the photographer, won the title of “Best Young Amateur Photographer in the World” in the competition of the British “Amateur Photographer” magazine. “Youssef” is nineteen years old, and he competed with 1,000 photographers around the world.

Geneva Prize

Engineer Mahmoud El-Koumi won the Geneva Prize for Inventions 2022 in its special session, and this is the second time in a row that he has won a medal in the Geneva Prize.

The United Nations Investment Promotion Award for the year 2022

The Egyptian General Authority for Investment and Free Zones achieved the United Nations Award for Excellence, as a result of its efforts to achieve excellence in targeting and promoting sustainable investment in the agricultural business sector, which was announced by the United Nations Conference “UNCTAD”.

Leadership and Excellence Award in Institutional Learning in London

Dr. Alaa Jarad is the first Egyptian to win the Leadership and Excellence Award in Institutional Learning in London this year, as the event is organized annually to appreciate the efforts of institutions and individuals who contribute to institutional learning.

Institution of Electrical Engineers International Award

Students of the Cairo University branch of the International Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) won the 2022 regional model student branch award for the eighth region of the institution.

This achievement was achieved for the third time in a row and for the tenth time since the establishment of the branch in 2008, and the students were able to get the lead in the Foundation’s International Day competition for the best social image for the second time in a row.
