Egyptian Trade Union Federation Honors Exemplary Mothers

Under the patronage of Mohamed Gebran, President of the Federation, the Secretariat of Working Women and Children at the Egyptian Federation of Trade Unions held a ceremony to honor exemplary mothers from various unions in recognition of their outstanding contributions to their work and families.

Head of the Secretariat, Aida Mohi El Din, emphasized the pivotal role of Egyptian women in their communities and families, highlighting their resilience and ability to overcome challenges. She noted that 28 exceptional mothers were selected based on their nominations and contributions to their workplaces and families.

Appreciation for Women’s Efforts and Call for Continued Engagement

Mohi El Din thanked Mohamed Gebran for his unwavering support of the Secretariat and his recognition of working women. She urged all mothers and working women to continue fulfilling their roles, face challenges head-on, and contribute to shaping the future generation. She also stressed the importance of raising awareness within families and workplaces amidst prevailing rumors aimed at destabilizing society and undermining achievements.

Mohamed Gebran, President of the Federation, affirmed the significance of working women, emphasizing their role as essential components of the system and the government’s dedication to their economic and social empowerment. He acknowledged the state’s recognition of women’s contributions, describing them as the cornerstone of society, its driving force, and its support system.

Vice President of the Federation and Supervisor of the Secretariat, Hisham Al Maheri, referred to the Egyptian women as the pillars of both homes and the economy, unwavering supporters of their nation, and steadfast defenders against those who seek to harm it. He commended the government’s efforts to empower women.

MP Walaa Al Tamimi, Head of the Migration Secretariat at the Federation, lauded the remarkable contributions of Egyptian women. He also highlighted the tireless efforts of women’s representatives in workplaces to enhance productivity. She extended her appreciation to all mothers of martyrs and distinguished women.

President El Sisi’s Commitment to Women’s Empowerment

Al Tamimi emphasized President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s unwavering support for Egyptian women, his dedication to their empowerment, and his commitment to their participation in all aspects of life.

Muhsen Ashallah, Head of the Tourism and Hotels Workers’ Union, commended working women for their exceptional contributions and achievements in their fields, praising their role in supporting the nation and the government.

In this regard, the Secretariat expressed their heartfelt appreciation to all working women and mothers who shoulder work and family responsibilities. They thanked the Federation’s leadership and the Women’s Secretariat for their unwavering support and recognition of all unionized mothers.
