by Nada Khaled

Last Saturday, a delegation of women from the Egyptian Social Democratic Party visited the headquarters of the Palestinian Women’s Union in Cairo, to show their unwavering solidarity during these difficult times caused by the continuous bombing of the occupied Gaza Strip over the past two weeks.

The entire women’s delegation confirmed the party’s leadership and members’ solidarity and readiness to support in any way they could Palestinians residing in the Gaza Strip, including organizing blood donation campaigns for the injured in Gaza and collecting donations.

The Egyptian female leaders also wanted to offer their sincere condolences for the martyrdom of thousands of proud Palestinian people and express their complete rejection of the killing of innocent people in Gaza by the brutal Israeli occupation army.

Furthermore, they explained the efforts made by the party in organizing meetings with representatives of foreign diplomatic missions to present the justice of the Palestinian issue, the right of the Palestinians to establish a sovereign Palestinian state on their lands that have been occupied by the Jewish colonizing settlers for many decades and to reject the forced displacement of Palestinians outside their lands, which is considered a war crime.
