Egyptian Bow And Arrow Team To Take Part In World Archery Championships In Paris

by Asmaa Elwahy

The fourth World Cup of the year is currently taking place in Paris, and Egypt’s archery team is amongst the competitors.

The tournament’s finals will serve as an Olympic test event for Paris 2024, and it’s imperative that the Egyptian team, which includes Sherif Ashraf, Maged Demian, and Linda Sharaf, performs exceptionally well. They are competing against a total of 380 players from 58 countries and underwent official training on Tuesday to prepare for the competition.

It’s important to note that the Paris Archery World Cup is an indirect qualifier for the Paris 2024 Olympics. Although no direct quota places are available, the tournament offers ranking points to recurve archers, which will be utilized to determine two Olympic Games team quotas for both men and women.
