Taking place in Egypt from May 9–17, 2023–24, the CIB PSA World Championships will bring together the finest squash players in the world to face each other for the most coveted squash award.
For the tenth time, the largest tournament in the sport will take place in Egypt, and CIB will serve as the title sponsor once again. Previously, CIB sponsored the women’s 2019–20 PSA World Championships, the men and women’s joint 2021–22 PSA World Championships, and several other tournaments on the PSA World Tour that are held in Egypt.
With $1,150,000 in total player compensation up for grabs, 128 of the best male and female squash players in the world, including Egypt’s reigning World Champions and current World No. 1s Ali Farag and Nour El Sherbini, will square off for the largest prize payout in the sport.
“We’re thrilled to bring the tournament back to Egypt for what promises to be an exciting week of action,” stated PSA Chief Executive Alex Gough. “The CIB PSA World Championships is the biggest event in world squash.”
Hussein Abaza, Chief Executive Officer of CIB and Board Member, expressed his enthusiasm about sponsoring the PSA World Championships once more and bringing world-class competitors back to Egypt. Egypt has a thriving squash culture, and hosting the world championship here will serve as inspiration for the next generation, who will get the opportunity to see their idols up close.
