Egypt ranks 1st worldwide in ‘legislation of e-commerce’ sub index

The Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) said Wednesday that Egypt ranked first among countries worldwide in the sub index of “legislation of e-commerce in 2022.”

In an infographic about Egypt’s top rank in the 2022 Network Readiness Index (NRI), the center added Egypt advanced four places in the general index to rank 73 in 2022 among 131 countries worldwide with 47.76 points, compared to 77 in 2021 among 130 countries in the world with 47.56 points.

In general, the index is assessing the network readiness in countries through four main axes; technology, persons, governance and effect. All such axes include a number of sub-indexes, according to it.
